I won't spoil it for you, but the back story of the town is really interesting! There is a main street with several fun gift shops to wander through. This was our first time to the Goldfield Ghost Town and we loved it! We booked a 4x4 jeep tour that left from the town, so we took some time before the tour to look around. We're glad we visited, and highly recommend Goldfield Ghost Town for family fun (bring plenty of bucks!). Although we didn't visit all of them, Goldfield has a restaurant (which emitted enticing odors as we walked by), gift shops, a hot sauce shop, 'brothel,' apothecary, bakery, and other businesses representative of the era. My grandsons enjoyed the Shooting Gallery. The replica gold bar, the only unauthentic item in the Museum, was interesting, especially for folks who have never seen one (real or replicated). We visited the Museum, and it included a wealth of mining artifacts, including items that were original to the Ghost Town. The illusion of descending deep into the mine was very well done, and my grandson was asked to 'pick the underground level' to which our elevator would take us. We toured the mine, and our tour guide gave us great information about how a mine was run in the 1890s. With our grandsons visiting this year, we decided to check out the Ghost Town. We've been to Arizona many times and although we've driven the Superstition Mountain trail several times, we always bypassed Goldfield.
